Troubleshooting

Bot not responding

The most common issue. Try these steps in order:

  1. Check your credit balance

Go to Dashboard → Overview. If credits are at $0, your bot can’t send messages. Buy more credits to resume.

  2. Restart the gateway

Go to Dashboard → Settings and click Restart Gateway. Wait 30 seconds, then try messaging again.

  3. Check bot status

On the Dashboard Overview tab, confirm your bot shows as online. If it shows offline, the restart should fix it.

  4. Contact support

If none of the above work, email support@clawops.io with your bot username.

Bot responds slowly

  • Premium models are slower than Indie/Big Tech models. If speed matters, switch to the Big Tech or Indie stack from Dashboard → Settings.
  • Long messages take longer to generate. Try asking shorter, more focused questions.
  • If a model provider is having issues, your bot will fall back to the next model in the stack automatically.

”Credits exhausted” message

Your OpenRouter credits have run out for this billing period.

Fix: Go to Dashboard → Subscription and click Buy More Credits. Choose $5, $10, or $20. Credits are added immediately and your bot resumes.

Deployment stuck or failed

If your initial deployment takes longer than 10 minutes or shows an error:

  1. Refresh the page — the status may have updated
  2. Check your bot token — make sure you copied the full token from BotFather
  3. If deployment failed, go back to the onboarding page and try again with a fresh token

Can’t log in

Login button doesn’t work or is blocked

The Telegram login button is powered by a widget loaded from telegram.org. If it appears but nothing happens when you click it, an ad blocker or browser extension is likely blocking it.

Fix:

  1. Disable your ad blocker (uBlock Origin, Brave Shields, Privacy Badger, etc.) for app.clawops.io
  2. Refresh the page
  3. Try the login button again

If you see a yellow warning message on the login page saying “Login button blocked”, that confirms an extension is the cause.

Alternative: Try a different browser (e.g. Chrome without extensions) to confirm this is the issue, then whitelist the site in your preferred browser.

Other login issues

  • Make sure you’re using the same Telegram account you signed up with
  • Try clearing your browser cache and logging in again
  • If you changed your Telegram account, contact support

Wrong model responding

If your bot seems to use the wrong model after changing stacks:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Settings
  2. Confirm the correct stack is selected
  3. Click Restart Gateway

The model change requires a gateway restart to take full effect.
