OpenClaw and ClawOps FAQ
How many messages can I send?
There’s no message limit. Paid models use your credit balance, and the Wanderer stack runs entirely on free models. Rough guide with credits:
- Wanderer stack: unlimited (free models)
- Hustler stack: thousands of messages
- Professional stack: hundreds to thousands of messages
- Operator stack: dozens to hundreds of messages
Smart Switching also steps your bot down to cheaper stacks automatically as credits run low, so it never stops responding.
What AI models does my bot use?
Your bot uses one of four model stacks. Each stack is a curated set of models, and OpenRouter’s auto-router picks the best one from the set for each message. See Model Stacks for the full list.
Can I change which models my bot uses?
Yes. Go to your Dashboard → Settings tab and select a different model stack. The change takes effect immediately.
Is my data private?
Your bot runs on a dedicated server, not shared with other users. Conversations go through the AI model provider (OpenRouter → upstream model) but are not stored by ClawOps. See each model provider’s privacy policy for details on how they handle data.
Can I have multiple bots?
Not yet. Multi-bot support is on the roadmap at $15/month per additional bot.
How much does it cost?
$10/month, charged on signup. Starter usage credits are included when you join, and credits accumulate each month, the longer you stay subscribed, the more premium model access you have.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Go to Dashboard → Subscription and cancel. Your bot stays active until the end of your current billing period, then the server is deprovisioned.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Your bot automatically switches to free models, it keeps working, just without premium models. You can buy more credits from your Dashboard ($5, $10, or $20 top-ups) to restore the full stack immediately.
Can I use any model I want?
You can pick any model from 300+ available via OpenRouter using the custom model picker in Dashboard → Settings. Most models work great. A small number of newer models with very large context windows have a token specification issue that causes immediate overflow errors, see VPS specs and model limits for details.
Where is my server located?
ClawOps uses Hetzner data centers, primarily in Europe (Germany/Finland). Your bot runs on a dedicated CX23 VPS, not shared with other users.
