Companions

Companions are specialist AI personalities that extend your bot with deep, domain-specific knowledge and persistent memory. Unlike generic AI tools, Companions build up a picture of you over time — your tastes, habits, and preferences — stored privately on your own VPS.

Every bot includes these capabilities at no extra cost:

  • Web Search — search the internet and summarize results
  • Browse — read and analyze web pages
  • Shell — run commands on your bot’s server
  • Documents (QMD) — index and search your files with hybrid keyword + semantic search
  • Memory — structured memory system with daily logs, long-term memory, and learnings

Companions

Companions add specialist personalities on top of the built-in capabilities. Each one uses a dual-layer memory system — structured data for accuracy, QMD-indexed markdown for fast, token-efficient recommendations.

🎸 Entertainment Buddy (free)

Your personal entertainment tracker and recommendation engine. Track favorite artists, log gigs and watch history, manage wishlists, and get personalized recommendations — all through natural conversation.

  • Favorite artists, movies, and shows
  • SoundCloud track and set saving (auto-fetches metadata)
  • Gig history with ratings and notes
  • Upcoming events and wishlist
  • Smart recommendations based on your taste
  • QMD-powered memory — your taste profile is semantically indexed so recommendations get smarter over time
  • Auto-enrichment — daily checks for new album releases (Deezer), upcoming gigs near you (Bandsintown), and trending movies/shows in your genres (TMDB)
  • Telegram notifications when new content is discovered
  • Data export — download your full entertainment profile as JSON from the companion dashboard

Install it from the Companions tab in your Dashboard.

Managing companions

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Open the Companions tab
  3. Browse available companions
  4. Click Install to add one or Remove to uninstall

Companions take effect on the next message — no restart needed.

Model requirements

Companions use detailed instruction sets that require a capable AI model to follow reliably. Mid-tier models and above are recommended — for example:

  • Recommended: MiniMax M2.5, Claude Haiku 4.5, Gemini 2.5 Flash, DeepSeek V3.2, GPT-4o
  • Premium (best experience): Claude Sonnet 4.6, Gemini 3 Pro, GPT-5

Not recommended: Lite, nano, or free-tier models (e.g. Gemini Flash Lite, GPT-5 Nano) may ignore companion instructions, fail to read/write data correctly, or ask unnecessary follow-up questions instead of acting.

If your companion isn’t behaving as expected, try switching to a more capable model from Dashboard > Settings > Bot.

How billing works

Free companions are included with your subscription at no extra cost. Paid companions (coming soon) will be billed monthly and prorated if installed mid-cycle.
